Old, skinny mare made her way towards the land. She saw no one, not even a living plant here. Ribs showed signs of starvation, yet barrel showed signs of life. She knew it would come soon, and when it did, she could do nothing to provide it with the necessities it needed. This only showed her love for those around her. She stopped, harks relaxed back against her poll sapphires showed no signs of life in them. Not one sound was made from the depression the mare had.

| R A J A N | Tric-colored pelt rippled against his muscles' movement. Nares flared as talons thundered against the sod below. The stag's desert type land was placed far way from the claiming land was and thus he had ran as hard and fast as he could to pass the time by. Sweat dripped down his sleek pelt as he gradually slowed to a trot and then a walk. Talons dug in as he climbed up the side of a hill. As he reached the top, the wind blew across the moisture on his bod, naturally cooling him down as sides heaved out and in and nares flared at every release of breathe he took in as he caught his breathe. Occules searched over the terrain for a lonely fae until they halted and lay upon a beautifully painted femme. He elegantly and skillfully trotted down the side of the hill and towards the fae until he was a horse length away from her and halted. Dial lowered to the ground for a second and rose back up as he bowed before the lady, yet occules caught the glimpse of Lifeless eyes. He searched them but found nothing.
'lo dear fae. I am Rajan of Ayers Rock. May I be blessed to know your calling and if it is not rude to ask why your eyes show no life?
Painted facade still dripped with some sweat as dial shook to rid of the bothersome droplets, forcing his damp ebony banner to lay every which way upon his boa. Left aud kept all attention on the fae as the other swiveled back and forth instinctively to keep alert for danger. Tassel swayed in the wind as Ivor, ebon, and cream pelt shined in the sunlight from the sleekness of it combined with the dripless sweat upon it. Occules continued to stare at the fae as he awaited her lyrics to escape.

Painted Arabian didn't seem to even notice the steed who had just shown up from nowhere. Life was nowhere within her and even her enlarged barrel seemed to not move as it should. Dreams and illusions began to spread all around her. Visions of the soon to be father were seen and the mare suddenly spooked, backing away as far as she could from it. Sapphires widened as suddenly, the illusions escaped and there she saw a tri-colored steed. He looked like the soon to be father and she tried whinnying for help, yet no lyrics escaped as she had no more energy. Breaths came heavy and harsh as she tried to grasp more air. But for some reason, the soothing calm voice of the steed calmed her and she backed away a bit more. Maw opened but lyrics weren't escaping as they should. She was a sickly figure. Skin and bones with no life whatsoever. She tried speaking, but no harmony escaped.

Dial shook as occules starred questioningly at the mare spooking at something. Did he scare her? Talons kept in place as he stood there, not wanting to spook her any more than she was so he did not move forward. Dial shook again in confusion. I'm sorry M'lady if I have spooked you. Please forgive me. I mean no harm. He stood silently as ebon tassel swayed back and forth as it swatted at the nuisances whom buzzed around him. Zephyr pulled at his banner as it waved and flowed with it's movements. Occules were kind and gentle, showing nothing but care.

His sweet, soft lyrics seemed to soothe her fully. Yet she never took another step towards him. She knew she could never trust a steed, unless they proved themselves of course. Crania shook as she thought about what she had just done. She thought herself stupid for doing it, but knew she couldn't help herself. Hip bones popped out near her rear, which showed how lame she was at the moment. She wasn't completely sound, and she was with foal, which didn't help at all. Muzzle opened as she tried her best to speak and explain herself.
I.. apologize. I'm not the same as... I used to be.
She didn't look at him as she spoke. Hopefully that would be enough for now.
I'm Alabaster.

He watched his confusion soon slipped away with her lyrics entering his auds. Alabaster. What a unique name. Dial shook once again as it replaced the thread which had been displaced before as mind searched for the right words as they suddenly hit him and went straight to his voicebox, emitting them out from his labras. Alabaster. What a unique and beautiful name M'lady. No need to apologize as I see that there must've been something in the past that had happened for you not to trust another steed. Smile crept across his facade as a sudden mosquito bite happened upon it. Dial dipped quick and low as fore pillar stepped out and talon planted on the ground. He vigoroudly rubbed his facade against his ebony pillar as he itched at the bite. Once relieved, his dial rose back up to Alabaster's level as he saw the hip bones sticking out. A sign of malnourishment.

Patched fae listened closely to this so called Rajan and she gave him a fake smile, trying to cover it. She followed his gaze towards her busted bones near the rear of her figure.
It's ugly isn't it?
Already, tears began to well up in her eyes. She knew that with a figure like that, there was no way she would be able to raise her first, fatherless foal. She had no food, no milk, nothing to provide the foal with. Not even a proper place to rest. Why was this tri-colored steed talking to her anyways? She wasn't worth the time, and didn't deserve the attention.
Rajan... I would understand.
She hoped he knew what it was she was talking about. It wouldn't be the first time she was cast out, or the first time she'd lose a foal.

Rajan gently shook his painted dial. Why would she think he would turn away so quickly. He knew she needed nourishment. That was all and she would be right back to normal. M'lady. I do not turn away because of looks. I know that you have malnourishment from being on that ship. I too have some malnourishment as I my mane and tail aren't as long as used to be. Alabaster, I would love to give you a home where you may recooperate and if you ever wish to leave, I sha'll not follow or stop you. His occules showed care and welcoming as he starred at her. He daydreamed of how she had looked before she had boarded the ship. What a beauty. Auds stood erect as they searched for her lyrics to be trapped among them.

She listened closely to what the steed had to say and offer. It was true, she had been very beautiful before she got on the ship, and had a much different personality. A darker personality. But ever since then, she was hopeless, worthless. She knew it was true, but she also knew this Rajan character at least had something to offer. She pondered the idea for quite some time before lyrics came out quietly.
Sir Rajan. Show me where to go. I'd like to see this Ayers Rock.
A faint smile escaped but she didn't move any other muscle.

Smile spread across his facade once again as he heard the words of acceptance seep through her labras. Perfect timing M'lady. The sun is just about to set and we should be able to get back in time to see the beautiful colors upon the rock. His lyrics were gentle and non-threatening as he pivoted around towards the direction he had come from. Dial looked back at her once again as he motioned his dial to say follow me. Dial turned back forward as talons dug in and he began in a gentle, but elegant trot up the hill then down it as he made his way towards Ayers Rock.
