Caliginosity Canyon

While small openings in this land are bathed in light, most of the ravine is hidden in eternal darkness except for a few hours in the noontime. Tough, scrubby grasses can exist in the shadowed areas, while lightened areas support grass that will quickly surge to the height of a horse. A swift and dangerous brook winds along one edge of the canyon. The tall, rocky walls house several protective caves, if you don't mind sharing your shelter with a few thousand bats. The towering walls also provide protection against enemies, with only two main entrances and many small, concealed paths.
